Abstract
Infantile asthma usually can be managed with theophylline and ¥â2-agonists which can cause tachyarrhythmia as a side affect. Recently, we experienced a case of 24-month-old boy with paroxysamal suprventricular tachycardia who had been taken
theophylline
and ¥â2-agonists for maintenance therapy of infantileasthma.
The arrythmia were resolved after cessation of bronchodilator therapy and administration of antiarrhythmic agents, especially amiodarone.
